First Baptist Church Nanaimo - Bible Reading Plans
You desire to be a dedicated Christian. You have accepted Jesus Christ into your heart and have a desire to read the Bible. Up until now however, your Bible reading may have been hit-and-miss. The thought of reading from Genesis to Revelation is slightly intimidating. Where can you turn for help?

First, you need a method and fortunately in this computer age the information we need is readily available. We can find it in every possible format: online reading, online listening, POD Casting Daily Scripture, and even apps for your iPhone. Of course, you can always read through your own printed Bible version too.

Second, you must choose a particular plan. You may read the Bible from cover to cover, in chronological or historical order (according to the estimated date of the writings), buffet style (each day have a little OT, NT, and some Psalms/Proverbs), or my choice - chronological buffet (A little OT and NT everyday, chronological, but not breaking up the gospels).

Third, and probably easiest, you need to choose which version of the Bible to read: NIV, KJ, The Message, Español, Français, Japanese, or Korean!.

Finally, it can help to have some sort of accountability with others. Sign up on the list beside the name tag board, so people can pray with you as you study together. Use the chronological reading schedule located beside the name tag board. Find others in the church and create a support team. Sign up for daily emails or Pod Casts. In addition, please use the www.fbcnanaimo.ca website’s new web page listing many different online services, as well as offering a private forum where the church members can talk together.

Blessings,
Bruce Currell (FBC WebmasterServant)
